Overview

ECHO//404 is a conceptual motion design project exploring the idea of a digital parasitic virus. The sequence imagines how an AI-based virus might infiltrate technology, subtly altering information and creating digital hallucinations. I focused on building a dark, cyber-thriller atmosphere inspired by Black Mirror, using glitch effects, neon distortions, and flowing electric visuals to communicate the virus’s evolving nature.

The motion design process involved experimenting with techniques such as track mattes, shape-to-text morphing, 3D cameras, and camera blur to heighten the immersive effect. My storyboard followed the path of a glowing red circle—symbolizing the virus’s pulse—as it guided the viewer through the sequence. The outcome is a 30-second title sequence that captures the unsettling, ever-changing presence of the virus while showcasing technical exploration in animation and visual storytelling.
